The Transitional Trench

TrenchTrenchtrench 3

Top: BCBG | Trench Coat: Forever21 | Jeans: AE | Heels: Jimmy Choo

Spring is finally here! I don’t know about you, but I am so happy to be able to put away my darks and start transitioning into warmer colours. My look for today is all about how you can still wear some of your winter pieces while transitioning into spring, especially if it’s still a bit cold out.

I styled my BCBG sweater and ripped jeans with this light trench jacket that I found while walking through Forever21. It was such steal! I love that it’s so light and airy and can go with just about anything. This look was all about

The best part? It’s under $60! You can purchase it here. xoxo

My favourite kinds of outfits are the kind that require no thinking; the no fuss kind that you can pull together within seconds especially if you’re on the go. It’s kind of like the one in today’s post where I was in the mood for something that was comfortable yet chic.
I saw my hairdresser over weekend for a cut and with the outfit I picked I thought this look would work perfectly! I call this the “Off-Duty Model” look. It has a bit of ‘je nais se quoi’ don’t you think? The open wrap blouse has this tasteful sex appeal, while the baseball hat throws the look off with a casual vibe, which is what I wanted. I absolutely loved mixing it up, which is exactly how to achieve the off-duty look. You can find this look in store at Boa Boutique.
What’s one of your favourite go-to, no fuss kind of look? Do share. xoxo

Less is more and when all else fails, you can’t ever, ever go wrong with an all black ensemble. It’s classic, timeless and always looks put together. Plus Audrey Hepburn rocked it like nobody’s business. She is one of my favourite actresses. If you haven’t watched Sabrina or Funny Face, you must. You’ll fall in love with the fashion and with Audrey as well. ♥

When throwing on an all black emsemble, I think it’s great to break it up with an extra colour or accessory. For today’s look, I added a pair of classic white sneakers to go off of the white pom pom on my Chloe Drew bag and, of course, for comfort. For those of you that know me, know I love wearing sneakers.
You can check out another sneaker look that I styled here.
