Happy 2017 loves! This has been the longest that I’ve taken a break from #SweetAsFiction. It was so nice to unplug and enjoy down-time with friends and family over the holidays. In moments like these, it’s great to unwind, reflect and express gratitude for the passing year.
2016 was a really, really great year for SAF and myself as a whole. I definitely achieved a lot of goals that I put my heart into, moved into a newly purchased home and grew this blog into everything I had envisioned. Thank you to all of you that have been following along! I am truly so grateful for each and every one of you and am so excited to see what 2017 has in store!

Fashion has always played a huge role in my life and depending on my mood, my style changes and evolves along with it. Today’s outfit is essentially all about that, focusing on warmth. With the weather cooling down to minus temperatures, the need to be warm and cozy is essential. I chose to style today’s look by mixing dressy and casual separates. Sometimes it can get a little hard incorporating your own personal style with winter clothing as the only option is to layer up, but with the right pieces you can still look warm and chic.

My three favourite cozy winter separates are the Wintress Puffer, the Lowland boot and this Cowlneck Sweater. All of these pieces are so easy to mix and match with current cold winter essentials. I love how chic these pieces are and hands down, when it comes to sweater weather, I find my go-to has always been Ann Taylor.
